After debuting my memoir, A Girl Named Job in 2007, I launched Cauzing Elevation online in 2009, with a goal to inspire others with my story and assist with publishing needs. Nearly two decades later, CE has grown into Cauzing Elevation Books & More, offering multiple genre titles, goods and services. The history of CE however, dates as far back as the 1940's, with my maternal grandfather who penned eloquent poetry, while serving in WWII as a Medic, that today is notably titled, The Cook Chronicles Three Generations of Poets. It's that bloodline passion for writing, creativity, and service to others, that set's Cauzing Elevation apart from the rest. Even my mother was a writer, so I guess Cauzing Elevation has been my destiny since birth.
I coined "Cauzing Elevation" at age 17, after hearing the legendary William Michael Griffin, better known as "Rakim" say, "Constant elevation causes expansion, I write my rhymes while I cool in my mansion." That one verse fueled a flame within me that's been burning ever since. The CE expansion to include goods and gifts was literally pitched to me at age 14, by my father who told me, "You don't have to work for someone else to make means, be a professional or successful Marie. You have an immeasurable gift, you can put your name on a shirt and people will buy it, because it comes from you." The seeds I gained at an early age eventually came to fruition and nearly five decades later, here we are.
